ADESA Names John Beede Director of Training and Development

ADESA, Inc. has named John Beede to the position of Director of Training and Development.

Beede began his professional career with General Electric in 1975 as a Financial Management Trainee. After working in several financial positions with GE, Beede entered GE’s Appliance Business Training Department where he managed a $1.5 million organization with 15 consultants. Before joining ADESA, Inc. Beede founded Leadership International, a global leadership development consulting business.

“I am excited about the opportunities that exist for ADESA’s future training and development needs,” Beede said. “Research indicates that development opportunities play a key role in motivating and retaining employees. Furthermore, the right mix of business units provides a fantastic corner in the marketplace for corporate training and development initiatives that will further enhance the company’s overall business strategy.”

As Director of Training and Development for ADESA, Inc., Beede will be charged with creating and sustaining a learning environment for all employees. This responsibility will include managing ADESA University and enhancing its current offerings. He will report to Brenda Flayton, Chief Administrative Officer for ADESA, Inc.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome John to ADESA,” Flayton said. “John’s proven leadership in corporate training and his strong abilities to help employees aspire to become more productive will further enhance ADESA Inc.’s mission of advocating education and training opportunities for all employees.”

ADESA, Inc., North America’s largest publicly traded provider of wholesale vehicle auctions and the largest provider of used vehicle dealer floorplan financing is located in Carmel, Indiana.
