Lord Corporation's Ed Staquet Inducted into I-CAR Hall of Fame

Ed Staquet, Technical Support Manager for Lord Corporation, maker of Fusor Automotive Repair Adhesives, was inducted into the I-CAR Hall of Fame during the 2004 I-CAR International Annual Meeting in August.

There I-CAR recognized dedicated volunteers who have served the industry for 25 years or more by inducting them into the I-CAR Hall of Fame. With almost 40 years of experience in the auto body industry and currently in his second term on the I-CAR International Board of Directors, Ed Staquet said he is honored to join the ranks of other industry leaders.

"It doesn't seem like my experience with I-CAR has spanned 25 years," said Staquet. "The time has been fun, I am honored with this recognition and I look forward to the future."

Jim Perritt, Automotive Aftermarket National Sales Manager for Lord Corporation, said Staquet is well-known in the industry for his training efforts and he is a gold class trainer for I-CAR. As the first adhesive company to be certified to offer curriculum by I-CAR through the Industry Training Alliance program, Lord Corporation boasts more than 7,000 graduates of its training programs. Technicians who complete the hands-on Fusor 001 Bonding/Repair Curriculum qualify to earn I-CAR Gold Class Points, while learning valuable skills which improve quality and reduce cycle times in the repair process.

“The industry benefits from professional and inexpensive hands-on training through the tireless efforts of Staquet," said Perritt.

A member of the body shop business industry since he was 13, Staquet said he started out pushing a broom and then worked his way up to perform basic body work, heavy wreck repairs, and then managed a body shop before joining Lord Corporation in 1992.
