Business Tools | Tuesday September 21 AMI Management Education to Focus on Customer and Shop Relationships during CARS 2004The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) knows continuing education is essential to growing automotive service businesses. One of the best places to get that education is at the 2004 Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS), which will be held Nov. 4-6 at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Three management seminars, all of which qualify for AMI credit, will be presented during this year's event. Topics focus on evaluating, creating, building and maintaining relationships with all parts of your customer base."Women are Customers, Too" will be presented by Susan Christophersen and sponsored by ACDelco. Studies show a significant percentage of vehicle owners are women. This course will help shop owners meet female customer expectations and develop fresh and creative marketing ideas to provide a new source of revenue for their business. "How to Get Your Share of the Highly Profitable Fleet Business," presented by Bob O'Connor and sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts, will provide students with inside knowledge of the fleet business in addition to a competitive advantage in securing this type of business. Chris "Chubby" Frederick will present "Relationship Marketing Systems," sponsored by Independent Auto Parts of America. Relationship marketing will increase labor sales, average repair order size, gross profit and car count through customer retention management. In addition to management seminars, CARS will offer seven technical courses, a legislative update by Bob Redding, ASA's Washington, D.C., representative, and a keynote presentation by John G. Miller, acclaimed author and organizational development speaker. ©2004 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
