Painters Supply and Equipment Acquires The Paint Store in Lima, Ohio

Painters Supply & Equipment Co. has been in business since 1952, and is the largest distributor of automotive coatings in North America. With the addition of The Paint Store PSE now has 26 stores in Michigan and northwest Ohio as well as nine locations in Ontario, Canada.

In 1994, PSE was among the original group of 14 distributors who were the first to earn the elite status of “Platinum Distributor” from PPG Automotive Refinish. In January of 2000, PPG named Painters Supply and Equipment the “2000 Platinum Distributor of the Year.” PSE offers a full range of PPG Refinish and NEXA Autocolor products.

In addition to offering a wide range of coatings and related supplies, PSE offers its customers a wide range of services and programs to help them achieve greater productivity and profitability. Services available through PSE include training programs, marketing assistance, color matching tools, and certification programs. PSE, working with PPG, also offers shop evaluations and production line evaluations to help determine their customers’ needs.

The new location will be managed by Rick Rott, of Lima, Ohio with the assistance of PSE Territory Manager, Don Whitmore.
