BASF Sponsors Five Educational Seminars at NACE 2004

BASF will sponsor five educational seminars at NACE 2004 that address topics for collision repair businesses and jobbers. The seminars are part of an expanded collision-industry education program offered at NACE.

The seminars sponsored by BASF, and their presenters, are:

  • “Today’s Technology - How Wireless Networks and Communication Can Increase Profitability”
    • Robert Roewer, Manager, eBusiness Development, BASF, in collaboration with IBM
    • Wednesday, November 3, 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • “Survival Strategies - Are You Tired of Treading Water?”
    • Bernie Blickenstaff, Collision Management Services, Inc.
    • Wednesday, November 3, 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • “How to Create Winning Teams”
    • Bernie Blickenstaff, Collision Management Services, Inc.
    • Saturday, November 6, 8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
  • “Distance Learning”
    • Jay Johnston, Manager, NAFTA Training and Development, BASF

Registration and fee information for the seminars is available at the NACE 2004 website.

“BASF is a leader in all areas of the refinishing business, including technical and management training, and we are pleased to be back as a major exhibitor at the premier event of the collision repair industry,” said Jay Johnston, Manager, Training and Development for BASF’s Automotive Refinish business. “We are also pleased to bring added value to NACE by sponsoring these educational seminars that offer valuable information about advanced technology, training innovations and proven business management techniques to show attendees.”

In addition to sponsoring the educational seminars, BASF is an executive sponsor of the NACE Opening General Session on Thursday, November 4, 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., at which NASCAR driver Kyle Petty will be the keynote speaker. Petty will also sign autographs at BASF booth #5624 on Thursday, November 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

BASF is also co-sponsoring the opening-night “Happy Hour” on the NACE floor on Thursday, November 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
