Business Tools | Wednesday November 3 CRASH1 Establishes CollisionLink v3 as Standard Operating ProcedureOEConnection LLC, a provider of order management, supply chain, and data mining and reporting solutions to the automotive and collision repair industries, has announced that the CRASH1 Collision Repair Network, a multi-state collision repairer network, is deploying CollisionLink v3 as a new component of their standard operating procedures. The CRASH1 endorsement will be implemented in each of the independently owned and operated CRASH1 repair facilities located within the tri-state areas of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois.CollisionLink v3 automates the parts procurement process for collision repairers and their dealership wholesale suppliers, significantly reducing the labor-intensive nature of traditional parts ordering processes. CollisionLink, developed and marketed by OEConnection to collision repair facilities and franchise dealerships nationwide, simplifies the parts ordering process by electronically linking collision repairers and their wholesale parts dealers. CollisionLink aims to help repairers move from today's labor-intensive parts ordering processes into a technology-enabled electronic commerce workflow that can provide cost savings and help improve productivity to increase customer satisfaction levels for both repairers and dealers. CollisionLink v3 features include Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Options Decoding, parts number verification and validation, and order status. Newly enhanced CollisionLink v3 also accommodates original equipment parts ordering for all makes and models, offline batch processing, .NET architecture, and simple repairer self-registration. CRASH1 President Jim Keller commented, "CRASH1's business philosophy is based on customer service. CollisionLink's value in the areas of productivity gains, reduced costs, reduced repair times, and improved CSI is abundantly clear. This value is evident by the reduction in OE parts returns of up to 19 percent for some of our largest CRASH1 Network locations. CollisionLink is now part of our best practices and standard operating procedures with the expectation for more accurate parts ordering and better management of the repair process benefiting customers and our industry partners, alike." Chuck Rotuno, President and CEO of OEConnection, said, "The CRASH1 network's strong customer focus was evident throughout the pilot process. The organization's high standards make this endorsement all the more meaningful. Repairers are embracing CollisionLink and recognizing it as a tool that provides its customers and partners improved repair turnaround. CRASH1 and OEConnection are working together to improve cycle time of vehicles, while adhering to CRASH1's high standards of quality and customer satisfaction." Keller added, "CollisionLink's ability to handle original equipment parts orders for all makes and models clearly demonstrates OEConnection's commitment to streamlining and simplifying processes." As a CRASH1 partner, OEConnection is expected to continue to work with CRASH1 on the technology development of automated parts procurement solutions. ©2004 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
