Sherwin-Williams Partners with Dale Earnhardt for NASCAR-Inspired Paints

The paint is an easy-to-apply, fast-drying basecoat that uses state of the art technology resulting in superior performance for a basecoat / clearcoat system.

Launching November 15, 2004, the paints will be available for racing fans across the country through SWAFC’s network of more than 160 branches.

8Tonz offers NASCAR-inspired colors available with SWAFC’s new Special FX technology. Spiralshaped pigments allow rays of light to penetrate the surface of the car and kick back an extremely bright “sparkle” with color shade variances.

“These paints are engineered for speed,” said Charlie Magee, Color Marketing Manager, SWAFC. “We are proud that 8Tonz can stand up to the grueling demands of racing. That’s why eight NASCAR teams and 19 drivers rely on our finishes to go the distance. Now our customers can have the same quality finishes as their racing heroes.”

Additional benefits of the 8Tonz system include an exceptional clearcoat gloss holdout and distinction of image.
