Business Tools | Tuesday November 23 AASP/NJ Adds Forum to WebsiteThe Alliance of Automotive Service Providers/New Jersey (AASP/NJ) will be adding a forum message board to its ever-evolving website, www.aaspnj.org, in December. The forum aims to give member shops (along with other industry professionals) a place to discuss issues regarding anything and everything affecting their businesses. “This is just the next step in the process of making our website as important to our members as any tool or equipment in their shop,” AASP/NJ President Bob Everett said. “There is always a need for the people in this industry to express their views and ideas, particularly among other shops and the forum will be an excellent place for them to do that.” The addition of the forum builds on a website that has already been acknowledged throughout the country for its content. “Since we started up the website, we have been contacted by so many industry people from other states,” Everett added. “They’ll see a certain meeting that we have had, a bill that we were working on or a problem that we have solved or alerted our members to and want to know more about it. Frankly, the response has exceeded any expectations we initially had. One example is the recent problems the industry has had with ADP. We were able to respond and discuss the problem with other industry professionals throughout the country. A forum makes for a great place to have these types of discussions.” The AASP/NJ website will continue to expand over the next several months. “Right now, we are focusing the site on our trade show, NORTHEAST 2005,” Everett concluded. “We will have online registration for both the show and all of the seminars and classes to make it easier for those who plan on attending. Again, the site is a tool that we hope to make essential in every one of our member shops. I think by adding things like the forum, we are on our way to accomplishing that.” ©2004 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
