Business Tools | Tuesday November 23 SCRS Comments on ADP Labor Times ProblemSCRS Executive Director Dan Risely has written concerning the recent ADP problem with labor times:As you are aware, there was an issue reported with ADP’s October update. Upon further investigation and several conference calls including one with ADP VP of Sales John Kotsopoulos, I would like to report the following: ADP acknowledges that there is an issue with their October update. They stated that the changes in the database were not intentional. They are making the necessary changes to their November update to revert the database back to the times before the October update was installed. They are estimating about 10 percent of their data files were impacted and affecting approximately 150 vehicles. To elaborate further, a vehicle could mean all Dodge Caravans with a model year of 1996-2000. When the November update is installed, the ADP user would need to rerun the estimate through ADP and there will be a series of prompts which will check the estimate for the labor times and correct them and create a supplement as necessary. The insurers have been contacted and informed of what ADP is doing to correct the matter. They are expecting supplements to be generated. The November update is expected to be sent out before the end of the month. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: In an effort to better assist those that are impacted, Lou DiLisio requested that John provide a list of all the vehicles impacted. This will help eliminate some of the extra work shops will have to do in assessing whether or not the labor times were correct. John responded to this request immediately and has posted a list of those vehicles on ADP’s website. In the upper right hand corner, click on “Client Services”. Then click on “Support” near the upper left portion of the page. In the middle of the page will be a link to all the vehicles that are impacted. ADP will be issuing a formal statement to the industry soon. It is also important to note that ADP is exploring the possibility of providing some additional assistance to their customers. No decision has been made yet. ©2004 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
