Northwood University Seeks New Director of University of the Aftermarket

Northwood University is currently seeking a new director of the University of the Aftermarket after Vincent J. Daviero recently resigned from that position. Daviero will be returning to his home in Florida soon but will assist with the transition until a new director can be found.

Daviero commented, “I have greatly valued my relationship with Northwood University and have come to respect and admire my colleagues. I look forward to continuing my affiliation with the university, and to help Northwood for the betterment of our students and the aftermarket."

With the search for new management just beginning, Dean Rhonda C. Anderson said, “As we seek a new director, the Joint Management Operating Committee (JMOC) consisting of aftermarket industry leaders, has agreed that we will look for someone who possesses the experience, education, and training that Vince had. Vince is very interested in continuing his work with Northwood in developing on-line education for the industry.”

Tim Lee, chairman/CEO of Certified Automotive and a member of the JMOC, said, “With Vince's departure, the aftermarket loses a valuable educational asset while Northwood faces the challenge of ‘filling big shoes.’ The search for a successor reflecting Vince's keen appreciation for education and concern for the well being of his students, will be no simple task. In his brief tenure with the University of the Aftermarket, he made lasting impressions and substantial contributions. He will be missed by the Industry leadership.”

Mrs. Anderson noted that the search committee will be comprised of representatives from Northwood University and JMOC members. The committee will be seeking someone with combined experience in the aftermarket industry who meets the required education and training criteria. To apply for this position or for more information, please contact Pamela Christie, human resources, at 989.837.4212.

The University of the Aftermarket of Northwood University provides continuing education for the aftermarket industry and its sponsoring associations, the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), and the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). The alliances and affiliations of both the University of the Aftermarket and Northwood University continue to provide guidance in developing coursework needed by the industry.
