Business Tools | Monday January 17 NACE 2004 Receives High Marks from AttendeesOf the attendees responding to a recent survey, 89 percent rated the new dates in November for the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE), which coincide with Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), as good to excellent. In response to the new day pattern for NACE 2004 (Wednesday through Saturday), 82 percent of attendees responding rated this change as good to excellent. NACE also received high marks for selecting Las Vegas as the site for 2004 and future NACE events, with 97 percent of those responding indicating they approved of the new permanent venue.As a result of these changes, final numbers show NACE 2004 attendance up 25 percent over 2003, and a 13 percent increase in exhibit space net square footage. International attendance also demonstrated a significant increase of 47 percent over 2003. "Speaking with collision repair professionals during last year's show, all signs were that it was a big success. Now we have great survey results to reinforce those conclusions," said Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. "NACE 2005 will be our 23rd show and plans are already underway to make it even better than the last." NACE 2005 will be held Nov. 2-5, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The educational Conference will run from Nov. 2-5 (Wednesday-Saturday), and the Exposition will take place Nov. 3-5 (Thursday-Saturday). The event will again be held during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), taking place that same week in Las Vegas. NACE, the world’s collision repair event, annually draws an attendance of 30,000+ from around the globe.
