Rudy Giuliani to Deliver NACE 2005 Keynote Address
The International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) has announced that Rudy Giuliani will deliver the 2005 Keynote Address on Thursday, Nov. 3, in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Giuliani will speak about leadership, and practicing the principles of leadership in which he deeply believes.Giuliani was elected the 107th mayor of New York City in 1993 and re-elected in 1997 by a wide margin. He is credited with returning accountability to the city government and improving the quality of life for all New Yorkers. Under his leadership, overall crime fell 65 percent, murder was reduced by 70 percent, and New York City – once infamous around the world for its dangerous streets – was recognized by the F.B.I. as the safest large city in America.
On September 11, 2001, America suffered the worst attack in its history when terrorists crashed planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Mayor Giuliani immediately began leading the recovery of the city as it faced its darkest hour. For his efforts, he was named Person of the Year by Time magazine, knighted by the Queen of England, and presented with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award by former first lady Nancy Reagan.
"As former mayor of New York City, Rudolph Giuliani has a proven track record of his ability to lead and inspire others," said Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. "I have no doubt that his message will leave NACE attendees feeling energized and enthusiastic. His appearance at NACE 2005 will certainly be one of the highlights of the show."
NACE, the world’s collision repair event, annually draws an attendance of 30,000+ from around the globe. It features a variety of educational sessions addressing the needs of all industry segments, as well as an Exposition with approximately 500+ exhibiting companies.
