Hertz Becomes First Corporate Associate Member of SCRS Missouri/Kansas

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists Missouri/Kansas Chapter (SCRS MOKAN) has announced that The Hertz Corporation has joined SCRS MOKAN as its first Corporate Associate Member.

Hertz, the world’s largest general use car rental company, operates from approximately 7,200 locations in more than 150 countries. Hertz's suburban network, including Hertz Local Edition, includes 1,300 neighborhood rental locations with business, leisure and replacement rates available as well as pickup and drop-off service.

The agreement between SCRS MOKAN and Hertz is a logical step in building Hertz’s profile within the collision repair industry. As Hertz expands its suburban presence in Missouri and Kansas, the agreement allows Hertz to play an active role in each state’s collision repair industry. In addition to providing high-quality replacement rental vehicles to SCRS MOKAN’s members, Hertz also plans to be an active member of the organization.

“Hertz has become more visible in our region by seeking quality relationships in the collision industry,” explained Executive Director Bob Smith. “Hertz’s involvement in the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) and its participation in the CIC Ethics Committee has evolved into the company developing local relationships with the Society’s chapters.”

“Hertz has been expanding throughout Missouri and Kansas and plans to continue to grow its operations,” commented Jim Calpin, Division Vice President, Midwest Region for Hertz. “With this growth, the time was right to become active in the Society’s MOKAN chapter. SCRS is an integral organization for the collision industry and we’re confident that our membership in this chapter will be beneficial for both parties.”

“We feel when the strength of a market leader such as Hertz, with its highly recognizable name, is added to one’s ranks the association’s membership benefits,” stated SCRS MOKAN Chairman David Horrocks. “We look forward to a working relationship that will benefit both Hertz and our membership for a long time to come.”

SCRS MOKAN Corporate Associate Membership program fits with the active stance SCRS MOKAN is taking within Missouri and Kansas. Developed in January 2005, the Corporate Associate Membership program partners SCRS MOKAN with key corporations serving the collision repair industry. Corporate Associate Members enable SCRS MOKAN to provide a high level of service to its members and to purchase the services, equipment and technology necessary to operate efficiently while participating with the other associations who are working to better the industry.

Through its direct members and 31 affiliate associations, SCRS is comprised of 5,000 collision repair businesses and 58,500 specialized professionals who work with consumers and insurance companies to repair collision-damaged vehicles. SCRS MOKAN represents those members across the states of Missouri and Kansas.
