Business Tools | Wednesday April 13 LKQ Acquires South Carolina Recycled Auto Parts FacilityLKQ Corporation has acquired A&R Auto Parts, Inc., a privately held company that operates a recycled OEM automotive replacement parts facility. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.Located between Spartanburg and Greenville on forty acres of land near Duncan, South Carolina, A&R will service the greater Spartanburg and Greenville markets and provide a strategic link within LKQ's network of recycled parts facilities. "Our investment in A&R expands our recycled operations in the southeastern states and vastly increases the inventory available to our customers in the Mid-Atlantic region," said Joe Holsten, LKQ's President and Chief Executive Officer. A&R's revenue for the twelve months ended December 31, 2004 was approximately $11 million. We expect this business will provide approximately $0.02 in diluted earnings per share to LKQ in 2005. LKQ Corporation is a nationwide provider of recycled OEM automotive replacement parts and related services, with 46 sales and processing facilities, 8 self-service retail automotive parts facilities and 12 redistribution centers that reach most major markets in the United States.
