LORD Corporation Receives ASE Recertification and Announces 8,500 Fusor 001 Graduates

LORD Corporation, maker of Fusor Automotive Repair Adhesives, has received recertification as a Training Provider from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and its education foundation, the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

LORD Corporation was found to meet the Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) standards for instructor-led education. The first adhesive company to achieve certification as a Corporate Training Provider with ASE in 2002, the recertification permits LORD Corporation to continue providing the collision repair industry with training in metal bonding and plastic repair/bonding as an I-CAR Industry Training Alliance member.

LORD Corporation also was the first adhesive company to be certified to offer such curriculum by I-CAR. Formed by I-CAR in 2000, the Industry Training Alliance brings together technical training providers to optimize the educational efforts of the collision industry. Technicians who complete the hands-on Fusor 001 Bonding/Repair Curriculum qualify to earn I-CAR Gold Class Points, while learning valuable skills which improve quality and reduce cycle times in the repair process. LORD Corporation's presentation, known as the "Fusor 001 Metal and Plastic Bonding/Repair" course, boasts almost 8,500 students have participated.

“The Fusor 001 training curriculum was developed so auto body technicians throughout the industry would have access to state-of-the-art training,” said Nick Gervase, Technical Support Manager for LORD Corporation. “We are honored to continue to have the opportunity to provide our hands-on programs throughout the industry.”

With almost 40 years of experience in the auto body industry and currently in his second term on the I-CAR International Board of Directors, Ed Staquet, Senior Technical Service Representative for Fusor, said LORD Corporation is committed to continuing their leadership role in training.

“The Fusor 001 curriculum is in high demand and we are committed to continuing to serve the industry by providing quality and inexpensive hands-on training around the globe," said Staquet, a certified trainer for both ASE and I-CAR.

Developed by LORD Corporation, a global manufacturer of high-performance bonding solutions for more than 50 years, Fusor products are recognized to meet OEM standards and have been in the aftermarket for more than a decade. In addition to a wide range of acrylic, epoxy and urethane products for metal and plastic bonding and repair, Fusor offers a line of sealers, foams, guns and other accessories.
