DHL Express Selects Cambridge for Claims Administration

DHL EXPRESS, an international express delivery and logistics company, has selected Cambridge, a global business process outsourcing provider specializing in claims and loss cost management services, to administer claims and managed care for workers' compensation, auto and general liability for its U.S. operations.

"We were looking for a company that would work with us as a partner, who would bring new and innovative products and services to us, and who had a strong record in using best practices for claims management," said Bryan Rettmann, Director, Risk Management Americas of DHL Express. "Cambridge brought all that and more to the table. Cambridge's proactive management and deep expertise will enhance our risk management program, ensuring that claims get efficient and professional management, and that potential losses are reduced."

"Progressive companies like DHL recognize the value of outsourcing non-core functions like claims administration," said Tracey Carragher, CEO of Cambridge. "In today's competitive business environment, market leaders know that using specialists to manage these potential liabilities will reduce risk and cut losses, thereby giving their firms a competitive advantage."

The three-year agreement took effect May 1, 2005. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
