Kathleen Preston to Join St. Paul Travelers as Executive Vice President, Field Marketing
St. Paul Travelers has announced that Kathleen L. Preston will join the company as Executive Vice President, Field Marketing. In this newly created position leading St. Paul Travelers' regional executive organization, Preston will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Jay Fishman."Kate has a tremendous understanding of, and passion for, the independent agent channel and the related market opportunities," said Fishman. "Kate's intensity and talents are well-known to me and many other members of the St. Paul Travelers team. She is equally familiar to many of the civic leaders and non-profit organizations in the Hartford area. We are pleased Kate will be joining our company in this new role leading field marketing. She also will be joining the Board of Trustees of our St. Paul Travelers Connecticut Foundation, and continuing her involvement in important Hartford community initiatives."
Preston currently serves as President of the Retail Annuities Division at Travelers Life & Annuity, overseeing product development, risk management, distribution, marketing, asset retention and training. She also serves as Executive Vice President of Travelers Life & Annuity, with responsibility for communications and community relations. While Preston has served most of her professional career in leadership positions within Travelers Life & Annuity, she also served as Senior Vice President of Insurance Sales and Operations for Fleet Financial Group from 1995 to 1998. Preston will join St. Paul Travelers following the completion of her current responsibilities at Travelers Life & Annuity.
