Michell's ABS Shop Management System Sales Up 33%

Mitchell International, Inc. has announced that April year-to-date sales of its ABS(TM) shop management system jumped 33% over the same period last year.

According to the Mitchell press release, shops of all sizes are feeling the pressure of an increasingly competitive market and are coming to realize their continued success requires that they operate more efficiently, more productively, and more profitably. A strong business management solution, like ABS, can help them gain the competitive edge needed by automating labor-intensive tasks and providing critical information to managers to help them make solid business decisions in all areas of the business.

"Some of today's most successful multi-facility enterprises were early adopters of ABS," said Marc Brungger, Vice President-Collision Sales, Mitchell International. "ABS provided these shop owners and managers with specific insights into their operations, identifying areas to increase productivity and reduce costs, resulting in higher overall profitability, and the ability to successfully expand their businesses."

ABS provides accurate and reliable parts-pricing and job-costing functionality. Expanded features such as integrated Autohouse / Karora Generis(TM) data-mining and reporting tools empower collision-repairers to monitor their ongoing operations and track emerging trends, compiling data from multiple facilities as easily as one. Web-based reporting ensures the timely delivery of information, without disrupting work-in-progress.

"We could not imagine trying to run a successful business in today's competitive market without a solid management tool backing us up," said Randy Pollard, of Larry Curry's Frame & Collision, Inc. in Griffin, Georgia. "We chose ABS to help us run the shop because it's easy to use and has the features we need... it makes the information we need readily available so we can make the most of our time. ABS also shows just where we're most productive and where we can improve. We're always on top of our business with ABS."

The upcoming release will include an integrated scheduling program that will enable shops to maximize the number of repairs underway at any given time, based on their capacity and current utilization. Efficient use of repair bays and personnel aims to help shops reduce average cycle time without compromising the quality of repairs.

Mitchell International facilitates millions of electronic transactions between more than 16,000 business partners each month.
