BASF Announces Winner of First Custom-Painted Toolbox in Sweepstakes

BASF Refinish has named the winner in the first drawing of a previously announced national consumer sweepstakes. The sweepstakes is designed to promote the company’s BASFrefinish.com portal and the BASFtoolbox.com microsite. The sweepstakes began May 23 and will run through Dec 31, 2005.

The winner of the first drawing is Frank Painter, of Edinberg Motors in Edinberg VA. Painter’s name was drawn from more than 3300 entrants.

“I was really excited to find out that I had won the toolbox,” said Painter.

Sweepstakes entrants will have two more chances to win a custom-painted BASF toolbox (roll cab and chest) containing a wide array of refinishing tools and supplies, including the Glasurit Small Damage Repair System. The retail value of the toolbox is approximately $7,700. The next toolbox features a highly detailed Glasurit paint scheme.

To enter the sweepstakes, visitors must go to the BASF website at www.BASFrefinish.com and correctly answer four questions about refinish products. The answers to the questions can be found on the website. Users must enter each drawing separately to qualify for a chance to win.

The sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age or older (subject to state rules), and the deadlines for entering the three drawings are (respectively) midnight, June 30, 2005, midnight, September 30, 2005, and midnight, December 30, 2005.
