Allstate Renews Sponsorship of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams Through 2008

Allstate has extended the company's sponsorship with the United States Olympic Committee. The agreement maintains Allstate's designation as the Official Home and Auto Insurance Sponsor for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through 2008. Allstate has also renewed its sponsorship of the U.S. Pan American Team that will compete in the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In addition to its U.S. Olympic Team sponsorship, Allstate will again serve as the presenting sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Revived in 2004, the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame presented by Allstate inducted new members for the first time since 1992. Last year during a nationally televised event in Chicago, Olympians Matt Biondi, Bonnie Blair, Janet Evans, Florence Griffith Joyner, Dan Jansen and Jackie Joyner-Kersee; Paralympian Randy Snow; Veteran Alice Coachman Davis; Special Contributor Bud Greenspan; and the 1996 U.S. Women's Soccer Team earned their distinguished membership in the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Announcement of the finalists and voting procedures for the 2006 Hall of Fame Class is scheduled for August 17.

"Supporting the United States Olympic Committee and America's dedicated athletes provides the Allstate family a unique opportunity to be a part of the Olympic Games experience," said Joseph Tripodi, Allstate's chief marketing officer. "Events like the Hall of Fame inductions and corresponding ceremony are great examples of how Allstate is helping to showcase both the athletes and the spirit of the Olympic Games and raise awareness of their tremendous accomplishments."

"Having Allstate continue its association with the U.S. Olympic Committee reaffirms the value the company places on partnering its brand with the U.S. Olympic Movement," said USOC Chief Executive Officer Jim Scherr. "Not only does Allstate's financial commitment help train our future Olympians and Paralympians, but through its presenting sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame, we are able to appropriately recognize the Olympic and Paralympic greats that have inspired our nation through their athletic feats and special contributions."

The Allstate sponsorship entitles the company to continue the use of the Official Home and Auto Insurance designations, and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic marks in advertising and marketing efforts.
