AASP-MN Donates to Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers, Minnesota (AASP-MN) recently made donations of $1,000 each to two industry organizations committed to helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The first organization is the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) Foundation. These monies will be used exclusively for the employees of aftermarket companies and their families affected by Hurricane Katrina. AAIA is matching AASP-MN’s $1,000 contribution.

Secondly, AASP-MN committed $1,000 to the Collision Industry Foundation’s Katrina Relief Fund. This organization is using donations to help people in the automotive industry find jobs and help replace lost tools and equipment.

“I know this is only a drop in the bucket compared to the money and resources that will be needed to help the many victims. I hope many AASP-MN members will find other ways to help in relief efforts,” said Collision Division Director, Jerald Stiele, Hopkins Auto Body. “I also hope every member of AASP-MN is proud of what we do as an organization to help fellow members, future employees, and our community and industry, both locally and nationally,” he concluded.
