Damon Davis Elected to Chair ARA Regional Directors

Joplin, MO businessman Damon Davis has been elected chairman of the Regional Directors of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA).

ARA is an international trade association representing the interests of automotive recycling worldwide. With chapters in 29 states and nine foreign countries, ARA is heavily involved in legislative, regulatory and environmental issues around the United States and the world.

Organized into 14 Regions, ARA members elect a regional director to monitor business, governmental, marketing and regulatory/legislative issues in their respective region. Davis was elected chairman of the Regional Directors by its fourteen members. In his capacity, Davis serves on the Board of Directors of the Automotive Recyclers Association. Additionally, Davis serves on the Events Advisory and CAR (Certified Auto Recycler) committees.

Davis manages Freeman’s Auto Salvage Center, Inc. a Joplin automotive recycling and salvage facility. Freeman’s Auto Salvage Center is a CAR and Gold Seal member of ARA.

Founded in 1943, the Automotive Recyclers Association represents an industry dedicated to the efficient removal and reuse of automotive parts, and the proper disposal of inoperable motor vehicles. With programs such as the Certified Auto Recycler program, and other partnerships with automotive manufacturers, automotive recycling will continue to provide consumers with quality, low cost alternatives for vehicle replacement parts, while preserving our environment for tomorrow.
