Business Tools | Tuesday October 18 CIF Hop on the Bus Campaign Rolls Toward Successful Completion at NACEOnly a few weeks remain before the Collision Industry Foundation’s Hop on the Bus Campaign drawing at the Industry Night of Achievement November 1 in Las Vegas. The campaign was created to raise funds for a new specially equipped bus for Camp Mak-A-Dream.Karen Fierst, the Campaign Chair, said the excitement is building as ticket purchasers and sellers alike look toward the prize drawing at NACE. The top prize is a trip for two to the 2006 Daytona 500. Six others will be awarded gift certificates worth $2000 from various companies. The sellers of the seven winning tickets are eligible for $1000 gift certificates. “Although the hurricane disasters have rightfully taken significant resources from our efforts, we anticipate that all our goals will be met,” said Fierst. “We are extremely grateful to our 27 sponsors and the industry-wide effort that has made this campaign a success. The checks and ticket stubs have been coming in. It’s great to see that we had such a terrific response from the industry in selling these tickets.” Although tickets will be sold during CIC November 1, just hours before the drawing at the Night of Achievement, the official deadline for early sales checks and stubs is October 15. Doug Webb, President of the Collision Industry Foundation, said, “In spite of the necessary efforts on behalf of our collision industry family members devastated by the hurricanes, it is gratifying to see that the needs of Camp Mak-A Dream will also be met. We look forward to the delivery of the bus in time for NACE, where it will be on display at the National Auto Body Council booth.” NABC Executive Director Chuck Sulkala will personally take delivery of the bus at NACE. “It’s hard to explain how proud I am of the people and companies in this industry,” Sulkala said. “Not only have we stepped forward to help in every way possible with the hurricane relief effort, but we have sustained our efforts and met our responsibilities to Camp Mak-A-Dream.” Hop on the Bus Campaign Sponsors include: 3M Automotive, ABRA Auto Body & Glass, Action Crash Parts, ADP, Akzo Nobel Coatings, BASF, Caliber Collision Centers, CELETTE, Inc., City Body & Frame, CSi Complete, DuPont Performance Coatings, Fix Auto USA, Ford Motor Company, Genera Corporation, International Auto Centers, Keystone Automotive, MAXZONE Vehicle Lighting Corp., Mitchell International, Motor Information Systems, Pacific Auto Company, PPG Industries, Sabry Lee, Inc., Sherwin Williams, State Farm Insurance, Sterling Collision Centers, Universal Underwriters and VengUSA. “The Collision Industry Foundation and NABC want to thank every single sponsor.
