CertifiedFirst Network Offers Continuing Education for Insurers Program

PPG Industries, Inc. and Kaplan Financial, formerly BISYS Education Services, one of the nation’s leading providers of continuing education (CE) course offerings and administration, have joined together to provide CertifiedFirst Network shops access to one of the most thorough continuing education programs in the industry.

Through Kaplan Financial, CertifiedFirst Network shops can now offer an online library resource to insurance agents and adjusters that gives them access to one of the industry's largest collections of content on Adjuster, Life & Health and Property & Casualty topics. With this enhancement, a CertifiedFirst Network shop can offer a choice of training options to insurance agents and adjusters in their local markets, including the traditional classroom instruction and more than 150 online course options.

“CertifiedFirst network participants have a solid history of providing valued classroom CE courses for agents and their staff,” said Georgina Sweeney, Director Refinish Alliance Programs, PPG. “For the past year we’ve been developing this online component to provide shops even greater flexibility in satisfying local agents’ CE needs. Our CE program is a tremendous tool that allows our participants to speak directly to insurance agents about collision repair and insurance-related topics in an educational format.”

As a fully-approved CertifiedFirst Network shop, a collision center can offer online courses multiple ways. They have the option of offering a discount off of the standard retail price for all online continuing education courses or purchasing vouchers for the agents and their staff, which can be used for Property & Casualty, Ethics and Adjuster-related online classes for an entire year. Each option offers both flexibility and expansion to the collision shop's current insurance-agent marketing strategy.

Shops also have the option of purchasing their own customized CE Web site that will serve as a portal for their agents to redeem a voucher or take an online course.
