Business Tools | Friday November 4 Mitchell Announces Release of Estimate ReviewMitchell International, Inc., a provider of information and workflow solutions to the automotive insurance claims and collision repair industries, has announced the release of Estimate Review(TM), an automated self-audit/review tool.Whenever an estimate is saved in UltraMate Premier Suite, Estimate Review quickly analyzes it against user-defined criteria and alerts estimators to any variances that might trigger a partner to reject an estimate, or to items that were simply left off. All of this happens before the estimate is committed and uploaded, reducing unnecessary supplements for increased shop efficiency. An easy-to-read "Confirmation Compliance Report" is generated for every estimate reviewed, so estimators can quickly locate any line-item(s) in need of adjustment or explanation, before the estimate is committed, so estimates can be accepted faster, the first time, and supplements reduced. Users can create and manage multiple profiles against which to compare their estimates, making it simple to keep various insurance partners' numerous individual requirements on Labor Rates, Alternate Parts Usage, and hundreds of other items straight. Shops also are able to download and import carrier requirement profiles directly from insurers using Compliance Manager(TM), a companion product, also by Mitchell. "We are proud to offer Estimate Review to help our valued shop clients manage multiple DRP requirements, an increasingly critical element of many shop businesses," said Marc Brungger, VP-Collision Repair Market at Mitchell. "DRPs continue to play a larger role in the industry and shops are increasingly challenged to comply with numerous rules and requirements to receive insurance referral business. As an impartial information provider, our role is not to question the agreements to which shops and insurers come, but to facilitate and streamline their interaction, as with Estimate Review." According to a Mitchell press release, beyond simplifying trading partner relations, Estimate Review is called an ideal watchdog to ensure shops follow their own rules for including hazardous materials disposal fees and other legitimate components of shops' repair costs,as well as rules of insurers. Mitchell's Estimate Review can review estimates from most major collision estimating platforms that are CIECA/EMS-compliant. ©2005 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
