24 of 25 “Most Influential” Industry Leaders Are ARA Members

Locator UpFront, a Locator publication, published bi-monthly by the John Holmes Publishing Company of Whiting, Iowa, recently announced its 25 Most Influential Leaders in the automotive recycling industry.

According to Locator Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Charis Lloyd, “A team of Locator sales and editorial employees compiled a list of 180 recyclers who are on the cutting edge of the industry. The nominees needed to show strong leadership characteristics, industry involvement, a commitment to ethical business practices and a deep dedication to the future of automotive recycling. The list of finalists was distributed to a panel of 80 judges we viewed as experts in their respective fields, and they cast their ballots to help us determine the ultimate “25 Most Influential Recyclers.”

The 25 “Most Influential” categories were Advertiser, Analyst, Boss, Business Intellect, Duo, Environmentalist, Family, Fund-Raiser, Innovator, Lawmaker, Legend, Local Hero, Man, Motivator, Networker, News Maker, One-To-Watch, Progressive, Real Estate Owner, Safety Watcher, Successor, Teacher, Up & Coming, Web Guru and Woman.

All five current Executive Committee members of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) were recognized as a “Most Influential” category winner. Five Past Presidents of ARA and four current committee chairmen were also “Most Influential” category winners.

ARA Executive Vice President George K. Eliades, CAE, was delighted to be informed of the survey’s results. “It is heartwarming and rewarding to see an independent company undertake this type of industry recognition endeavor, and in the criteria and outcome to have so many ARA members and volunteers recognized by their peers as Most Influential Industry personalities. ARA has worked hard and steadfast to elevate the profile of the automotive recycling industry and to promote the collective wisdom, forward-thinking, ethical and environmental pre-eminence of automotive recycling,” he said.
