AutoClaims Direct Launches New Managed Repair Program

AutoClaims Direct, a provider of independent auto damage appraising and claims management solutions has announced a full rollout of its Managed Repair Program (MRP).

“We are extremely excited with the additional value our MRP provides our clients. MRP is a stronger and more balanced solution than the typical direct repair programs in the industry. We have developed this solution over the past two years and are excited to see it come to full fruition.” stated Ernie Bray, President of AutoClaims Direct.

According to a company press release, in contrast to other DRP networks where the focus is primarily on reduced labor rates and parts discounts, MRP is a quality based solution which can be customized to each client’s individual needs. AutoClaims Direct works directly with the insurance carrier and repair shop to tailor a package with the right fit. Each account is assigned a dedicated account manager along with a field re-inspector to ensure quality on every file.

AutoClaims Direct Vice President of Operations Tara Esquivel commented, “Traditional DRPs may be successful in getting shops to lower labor rates and discount parts but repair shops are already crunched in profit margins. Our MRP program seeks to bring both the insurance and repair side together and focus on savings through appraisal accuracy vs. pure discounts. Our corporation’s physical damage experts have conducted studies and devised a solid program that will benefit all parties. Our MRP program is expected to grow by 30 percent over the next two quarters of 2006.”

AutoClaims Direct handles auto appraisals, desk audits and lease returns for insurance companies, fleet management companies, and third party administrators. AutoClaims Direct's DirectLink application aims to streamline the claims handling process and reduce both cycle times and average loss paid.
