Allstate Files Notice of Appeal
The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has reported that Allstate has filed a Notice of Appeal with reference to the recent decision in Allstate Insurance Company, et al. v. Greg Abbott, et al. issued by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division.The court had held that specific provisions preventing insurer-owned shops from doing business in the State of Texas were constitutional. The Automotive Service Association supported the legislation, H.B. 1131, in the Texas legislature.
