MQVP Approves 654 New Part Numbers

The addition of 654 new part numbers increases the available MQVP parts to 9,742 with 40,631 total applications further building on the program’s reputation as the premier parts certification program in the aftermarket parts industry. The parts added include 246 sheet metal, 284 plastic, 109 lamp assemblies, and 15 absorber parts.

“Our manufacturing participants have acknowledged the need for the continual development of current make/model/year replacement parts. Their state of the art production facilities and responsiveness to the North American market demand allows for the continued growth and acceptance of certified aftermarket automotive products,” commented Diana Berry, MQVP Inc. Director of Manufacturer Client Services.

The MQVP part approval process, AMPAP, mirrors original equipment manufacturer (OEM) like requirements and processes. MQVP Inc. approval includes independent, third party vehicle test fits to validate whether parts have quality worthy to be included in the program. MQVP conforming parts are identified with a unique traceable lot number allowing the product to be tracked through the entire supply chain of custody to the insured vehicle by the GOCERTS web based software. This ‘traceability’ quality assurance feature assures that MQVP participants and collision shops receive high quality parts for their repairs. Insurance companies are increasingly choosing MQVP parts, which are comparable to the OEM parts they are intended to replace.

“MQVP continues to meet the ever demanding need for certified parts from our Insurance Participants,” said Neil Stolman, MQVP Inc. Operations Manager.

MQVP Inc. is an ISO-registered information systems and quality management services firm providing supplier qualification and quality assurance tracking systems to members of global supply chains. MQVP Inc. is located in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
