I-CAR Offers Free Self-Print Transcripts Online

I-CAR now offers collision industry professionals access to their training records 24/7 through the myI-CAR function on the I-CAR web site. Through myI-CAR, you can view training history, print a current transcript, and view/change personal contact information on file with I-CAR.

“Members of the Collision Industry want and need to know their training status as soon as possible,” explained I-CAR Director of Business Development and North American Operations Rick Tuuri. “I-CAR has made great strides in reducing the amount of time between taking the class and informing the students of their status. Offering online transcripts is one of the greatest strides that we have made in this area to date. We will continue to offer more improvements, so keep your eye on myI-CAR.”

The myI-CAR function is open to all Collision Industry professionals that have completed any I-CAR training. To view your training records online, visit the I-CAR web site at www.i-car.com and click on the “myI-CAR” logo. Once there, create a free account by verifying your information. After an account is created, you will be given a unique I-CAR ID Number which will replace the need to use a social security/social insurance number when communicating with I-CAR. When in the myI-CAR area, select “training history” to view records and print your transcript.

I-CAR will continue to issue printed transcripts upon successful completion of a training program or qualification test, as well as certificates upon successful completion of an I CAR training path grouping. Effective July 1, 2006, anyone requesting a transcript or certificate reprint directly from I-CAR will pay a $35 US/$40 CDN fee per reprint requested. I-CAR encourages everyone to avoid this fee by logging into the myI-CAR section of the web site for self-print transcripts.

I-CAR online offerings have been very well-received. Less than a year from its launch, Collision Industry professionals have learned proper collision repair procedures through over 1,000 I-CAR Online Training program units taken by the industry.
