Chief Automotive Technologies Appoints Cranfill To New V.P. Position

Chief Automotive Technologies, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of collision repair products and equipment, has announced that Mike Cranfill has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Sales and Distribution.

In his new position Cranfill will direct and oversee the operation of Chief’s extensive network of U.S. sales and service channels, and will be responsible for the development and implementation of all company sales operating policies and procedures.

A seasoned sales professional with more than 25 years experience in sales & marketing management, Cranfill comes to Chief from Forward Manufacturing Company where he served as president of the Dover Corporation subsidiary. His prior positions include serving as General Manager of Automotive Distribution Group (ADG); National Sales Manager for Easton Chemicals; and as National Marketing Manager for Sun Electric Corporation. While with Sun Electric, Cranfill was instrumental in introducing the Celette Bench frame repairing system to the U.S. collision repair market.

At Southeast Toyota Distributors Cranfill initiated and implemented the expansion of collision repair centers at Toyota dealerships in the southeastern U.S. He left Southeast Toyota to establish his own company, Shimoda Marketing, Inc. (SMI), providing consulting and management services to clients in the automotive repair equipment industry. While continuing to direct SMI activities, Cranfill was selected to manage sales, marketing, and distribution for Forward Manufacturing Company, a producer of automotive lifts, and continued those responsibilities for twelve years – prior to becoming an employee, then became its president in 2004.

Cranfill will steer Chief’s National Sales Office from its newly re-located Fort Worth, Texas headquarters.
