Business Tools | Friday June 30 CEI ClaimsLink Offers Document Library Thumbnail ImagesCEI, a provider of fleet accident and risk management services, has announced that customers of its web-based ClaimsLink(TM) accident management system are now be able to summon claims documents more easily through an accessible library of thumbnail document images. All scanned and digital documents – including appraisals, estimates, glass, rental, final repair and CEI invoices, photographs of collision damage and police reports – can be called up with just a few clicks from any ClaimsLink screen. When a user selects any one category of document, the system will display every document in the category as a thumbnail image. By clicking on any thumbnail, the user can summon an enlarged image for printing, or easier on-screen reading or viewing. If the image is not the one the user wants, he or she can click out of it and immediately return to the display of all possible images. “This new system bypasses the system’s previous ‘text link’ search method, which will make it faster for our clients to find exactly the document they want,” said Vincent Brigidi, CEI’s director of strategic client services director. ClaimsLink provides CEI clients access through the Internet to comprehensive, real-time accident information, such as first loss notice, subrogation status, and accident and rental expenses. CEI’s information technology group first developed the web-based application in 1999. ClaimsLink currently averages two million site hits per month, with a projected monthly growth rate of 5 percent. ©2006 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
