NGA Partners with Diamond Glass for Technical Training
The National Glass Association (NGA) has announced that it is partnering with Diamond Glass Companies to implement a fast-track training program for technicians that incorporates existing NGA training material and its new online training platform, MyGlassClass.com.“Our expectation is that, with the help of the expertise and experience of the NGA, all of our glass technicians will be certified by the spring of 2007,” explained Charles Turiello, Director of Quality Assurance and Safety for Diamond Glass Companies. “This is truly an exciting time at Diamond Glass.”
Phil James, NGA President & CEO, commented, “We are very impressed by the moves made by Diamond Glass to seal its reputation as an industry leader. Company leaders are putting actions behind their words by focusing their entire company on safety and training and setting the standard for all auto glass companies to follow.”
Diamond Glass Companies also will form an internal council comprising auto glass industry leaders, including representatives from a leading industry supplier, adhesive manufacturer and auto glass training facility. It will provide the industry with timely updates and innovative advances that will impact auto glass installation safety.
Karen Christopher, President of Diamond Glass Companies added, “It’s a new day in auto glass, and Diamond Glass is poised to greet it with enthusiasm and leadership. Our alliances with the NGA and AGRSS will move the entire industry forward to meet the challenges we face in the future.”
