ASA Celebration of Excellence, AMI Graduation Set for 2007 Annual Convention

The Automotive Service Association's (ASA) 2007 Annual Convention will be held May 3-5 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. One of the highlights of the event will be ASA's Celebration of Excellence, which was previously held during Industry Week. Scheduled to be held Saturday, May 5, the Celebration of Excellence is a special evening function dedicated to honoring the achievements of ASA members and industry leaders.

Awards presentations will include legislative, humanitarian, and division awards, affiliate of the year, communicator of the year, benefit provider and Automotive Management Institute (AMI) recognitions, and the Chairman's Award of Excellence.

"It is truly an honor to be able to recognize and congratulate those who have contributed to our industry in so many ways," said Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. "We hope this will be an enjoyable evening for our guests and for our award recipients."

In addition to dinner and an awards presentation, the program will include the AMI graduation ceremony, which recognizes those who have earned AMI's coveted Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation. The swearing in of ASA's new board of directors will conclude the event and an AMI dessert reception will follow.

The Celebration of Excellence is included in the annual convention registration, complete with dinner and the dessert reception. Anyone not registered for the annual convention can purchase tickets for $75 per person.

Online registration for the Celebration of Excellence and the ASA Annual Convention, including registration for housing accommodations, is now open at www.ASAshop.org/Annual07.

The Automotive Service Association is the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals.
