Eversman Named to Assured Performance Collision Care Consumer Advocacy Board of Directors

Assured Performance Collision Care, a non-profit consumer advocate organization for collision repair standards and services, has named Erica Eversman to its Board of Directors.

Eversman is an attorney from the State of Ohio focusing on insurance coverage and automotive consumer issues. She has served as an officer of the Cleveland Bar Association’s International Law section and as chair of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and is currently Chief Counsel for Vehicle Information Services, Inc. Eversman authors the Forbes.com award-winning blog AutoMuse(R) and lectures on a variety of subjects including consumer protection, collision repair, and automotive sales issues. She serves as an expert resource for national publications like USA Today, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and The Wall Street Journal Online.

As Director, Eversman will help ensure the balance and direction of the Assured Performance Collision Care as a non-profit, consumer advocacy organization offering qualified repairer business choices to consumers. Eversman commented, “I welcome the opportunity to help direct an organization that is filling a critical role for consumers wanting to select a repair business that has been objectively qualified. We are able to set standards for selection, identify the shops that meet those standards, and make that information available to consumers. Pressure from outside influences like insurers and product suppliers has become a source of significant concern in determining whether consumers are receiving safe and appropriate repairs to their vehicles. Assured Performance Collision Care is an organization that will give consumers the objective information they need to feel comfortable with their collision repair decisions. We can also ensure consumers and repairers know their rights, obligations and limitations in the claims and repair process.”

Scott Biggs, Chairman and founder of the Assured Performance Network, said, “Erica is one of the most knowledgeable professionals in the country on consumer, insurance, and repair issues. She will help to ensure we are addressing all sides of the trading relationship with the appropriate balance and advocacy.”

Assured Performance Collision Care is a non-profit consumer advocate organization that sets standards, identifies which independently owned shops meet the qualifications, and helps to promote those that qualify by connecting them with consumers. Assured Performance Collision Care is an integral part of the Assured Performance Network and represents nearly 5,000 independently owned collision repair businesses.
