Mitchell Reports Record Sales of ABS Shop Management Solutions in Q1 2007

Mitchell International, a provider of information, workflow, and performance management solutions to the collision claims and repair industries, has announced record sales of its shop management solutions, ABS(TM) and ABS(TM) Enterprise in the first quarter of 2007. This record pace of ABS sales eclipses the benchmark highs achieved in 2006 when annual sales of ABS were up 40 percent over the prior year.

Mitchell attributes the success of ABS to the products' proven ability to help repair shops increase operational efficiency, gain invaluable decision-support information, as well as to its superior customer support. ABS aims to provide repair shops with a comprehensive, practical tool kit for optimizing their business performance in an increasingly competitive operational environment.

"Record numbers of repairers are basing their business on Mitchell's ABS solutions. ABS is clearly on track to maintain its current market position as the preferred business management system for repair shops because it provides shops with powerful, yet practical tools needed to gain better control of their business. Like most businesses, collision repair shops are at the mercy of market forces outside of their control. Given this backdrop, ABS gives shops the ability to gain full command over the things they can control -- their business operations," said Marc Brungger, Executive Vice President-APD Solutions at Mitchell.

Both ABS (desktop, for single shops) and ABS Enterprise (web-based, for high-performing and multi-location shops) automate routine operations like job-costing, parts management, and scheduling, and generate more than 100 detailed productivity and profitability reports so owners and managers have the information they need to make smart business decisions.
