Progressive's State Claims Organization Named Arkansas PIA's Claims Department of the Year

The Progressive Arkansas claims organization has been named the 2007 "Claims Department of the Year" by the more than 250 independent insurance agencies in the state that make up the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) there.

More than 70 claims representatives in ten offices make up the Progressive Insurance department in Arkansas. The PIA decided to change the title of the award from the "Claims Person of the Year," after PIA members voted, not for an individual winner, but for the entire Progressive office staff.

"The overwhelming majority of votes came back 'all folks at Progressive claims,'" said Linda Thompson, executive vice president, Arkansas PIA.

"I'm thrilled to accept the award on behalf of the hard working and dedicated people who make up our Arkansas claims organization," said Kenny Teaster, Arkansas claims manager, Progressive. "An independent insurance agent represents lots of different companies, so to be singled out by Arkansas agents as providing the best claims service among all companies in the state is really special - it means we're doing a great job of making them, and their customers, happy."

The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies, now celebrating its 70th year in business, is the country's third largest auto insurance group.
