Business Tools | Monday October 22 AutoNetTV Offers ASA Members Free DVD Player with New SubscriptionOne of the Automotive Service Association’s (ASA) newest member benefit providers, AutoNetTV, is now offering ASA members a special incentive for new subscribers. The next 100 ASA members who sign up for AutoNetTV are eligible to receive a free DVD player. AutoNetTV is an automotive television network that may be viewed in the waiting areas of service and repair centers nationwide, and the information is provided each month in DVD format.“Shop owners face incredible demands on their time. Customers, employees, shop management, vehicles and finances tend to squeeze every available moment out of the work day,” said Sean Whiffen, co-founder of AutoNetTV. “We’ve had dozens of ASA members who delayed the start of AutoNetTV by several weeks, or more, because they simply lacked the time to obtain a DVD player. We hope this promotional offering will shorten the time it takes to begin educating customers, and provide results sooner to the shop owner.” AutoNetTV programming entertains and educates customers while they are on-site, with an emphasis on vehicle maintenance, safety and the importance of having worked performed on schedule. These programs allow service centers to conveniently educate customers on their factory-scheduled and preventive maintenance needs, and to improve their waiting experience. In addition to consumer-targeted programming, the AutoNetTV benefit includes the Pro Channel television network, which is created for automotive industry professionals. Pro Channel programs can be viewed before and after hours by employees, and address such topics as sales and marketing strategies, the latest industry products and services, and training, tips and best practices for technicians, managers and owners. Pro Channel programs provide business and marketing insights, technical training, and other industry-specific messages devoted to professionals working in the automotive service and repair industry. “Every shop owner has good intentions of providing professional, informative entertainment for customers while they wait, but the problem is we never seem to have the time,” said Betty Jo Young, AAM, Young’s Automotive Center, Houston, Texas. “With AutoNetTV’s DVD programming, time is no longer a problem. With a few simple steps and the press of a button, our customers are being sold maintenance without my saying a word, and their waiting experience has been immensely improved.” ©2007 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
