Unitrin Direct Expands Online Claims Service

Unitrin Direct, an auto insurance provider that offers a combination of affordable coverage and outstanding personal service, has added a new feature to its website aimed at making it even easier for policyholders to track claim information.

A few clicks in the "Manage Policy" section at www.UnitrinDirect.com provides a line-by-line financial accounting of a customer's claim, including medical compensation and payment status.

"This is one of many ways Unitrin Direct is using technology to enhance the customer experience," said Sean Sullivan, vice president of claims. "With this feature, our policyholders can easily get the answers they need in real time."

Along with its commitment to offering outstanding low cost auto insurance, Unitrin Direct is also dedicated to implementing environmentally friendly business practices. That's reflected in the new, expanded claims service, which saves paper by giving customers up-to-the-minute information electronically.

"Providing specific claims information online is not only quicker and easier for the customer, it also promotes a healthier environment," said Tim Bruns, senior vice president of operations. "As a growing company in the 21st century, that's very important to us."

During the past year, Unitrin Direct has taken other steps to make it simpler for a consumer to do everything from getting an online auto insurance quote and researching discounts to managing their affordable car insurance policies.
