Business Tools | Friday January 18 CARSTAR Super’Stang Previewed at Famous Russo and Steele Auto Auction to Benefit Make-A-Wish FoundationThe world famous Russo and Steele Automobile Auction will preview the CARSTAR Super’Stang and auction 500 other collector automobiles on Jan. 16-20.The CARSTAR Super’Stang, created by CARSTAR and the country’s leading restorer of Shelby Mustangs, Jeff Yergovich, is the centerpiece of an 18-month fundraising tour to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This re-creation of the legendary 1967 prototype Ford Mustang will be sold at next year’s Russo and Steele Auction in January 2009 to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “Russo and Steele is a spectacular event. It is one of the most respected auto auctions in the world,” said Richard Cross III, chief executive officer of CARSTAR. “I am pleased that they have agreed to host our Super’Stang this year and let us get a feel for next year’s auction.” Last year’s Russo and Steele Scottsdale Auction broke seven world records with more than $20 million of sales and had more than 35,000 visitors. According to Stephanie Quinn, media director of Russo and Steele, this year’s auction should be better than ever. “With the combination of Russo and Steele specializing in American Muscle, European Sports, Hot Rods, and Customs and our desire to give back to the community that embraces it, the Super’Stang and Make-A-Wish Foundation is a perfect fit,” said Quinn. According to Quinn, this is the first year that a car has been previewed for a later auction. The Super’Stang will be located near the entrance to the main tent. The Super’Stang’s trailer will also be onsite, located outside the main entrance. The Russo and Steel Automobile Auction is held just north of Scottsdale, Arizona in several large, white tents easily visible from Highway 101. The automobile auction and show are open to the public and general admission is $20. ©2008 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
