I-CAR Education Foundation Welcomes Hi-Tech Collision & Glass Centers as First Industry Leadership Circle Member of 2009

Hi-Tech Collision & Glass Centers is the first business in 2009 to join the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle through its donation to the Collision Repair Education Campaign.

The Industry Leadership Circle distinguishes companies who annually donate above a certain amount, which is dependant on the donor’s industry segment. Hi-Tech Collision & Glass Centers, a nine location repair facility in southern California, has displayed a real commitment to “Fueling the Future” of the Collision Industry by contributing $5,000 to the I-CAR Education Foundation, meeting the threshold for a Collision Repair Business.

This donation will go towards the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign, providing scholarships and program grants that will create and support the next generation of entry-level collision repair technicians. To date, the I-CAR Education Foundation has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships and grants.

”Promoting and funding positive change in the collision repair education system will require an extraordinary commitment from everyone within the Collision Industry,” said Scott Kruger, Executive Director of the I-CAR Education Foundation. “While we need businesses within all segments to make a donation, we also recognize the relative financial positions of different businesses. The Industry Leadership Circle is designed to recognize the extraordinary commitments of collision repair businesses making gifts of $1,000 or $10,000 with the same enthusiasm as a corporation making a $100,000-plus donation.”

“I am especially pleased that Hi-Tech is not only the first Industry Leadership Circle donor of 2009, but they are also the first ever Leadership member,” continued Kruger. “The Education Foundation exists to support students in collision repair, students that will become future entry-level technicians at repair businesses. Hi-Tech’s donation, as well as donations from other collision repair businesses, is an investment in their own business as well as the industry.”

"Hi-Tech understands the value that the I-CAR Education Foundation plays in the collision repair industry and is proud to support such a great organization," said George Boukather, CEO of Hi-Tech Collision & Glass Centers.

The Industry Leadership Circle recognition levels are:

  • Collision Repair Business – Single Location ($1,000)
  • Collision Repair Business – Multiple Locations ($1,000 plus $500/additional location)
  • Insurers – ($100,000)
  • OEM’s – ($50,000)
  • Parts and Materials – ($50,000)
  • Information Providers – ($50,000)
  • Related Industry – ($25,000)
  • Associations and Business Service Consultants– ($10,000)
  • External Industry Donors – ($10,000)
  • Individuals – ($1,000)

The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to securing donations that support philanthropic and collision repair education activities that promote and enhance career opportunities in the industry.
