CIECA Announces New Architecture Committee Co-Chair

Kathy Goddard, of Safelite Solutions, has accepted the position of Co-Chair of the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) Architecture Committee.

Goddard stated: "I am excited about this opportunity. At Safelite, we are committed to a common goal of electronic communication within the industry. As part of that goal, we understand the advantage of having a uniform standard that is used to exchange of information independent of the platform and software used. Sound and proven technical and architectural aspects of these standards are necessary to ensure their adoption and success."

Architecture Committee Co-Chair Deathe Davis, APU Solutions, said: "Kathy Goddard has done a wonderful job contributing to the Architecture Committee over the last several years, and has become a leader within the group. Kathy has played a key role in advancing the work and processes of the Architecture Committee to where we are today."

"The Architecture Committee is empowered by the CIECA Board of Trustees to establish rules and take responsibility for development of technical and architectural aspects of CIECA standards. This committee is comprised of business and technical people from CIECA member companies, and is responsible for researching and assessing new technologies and for acting as a liaison with other industry standards organizations and other associations," said Fred Iantorno, CIECA Executive Director.

More information about CIECA and its standards can be viewed on the CIECA web site: www.cieca.com.

CIECA develops Collision Repair Industry Information Technology standards and provides implementation guides for electronic commerce.
