Business Tools | wednesday November 2 CIC Repair Standards Advisory Committee Enters Next Phase of Feasibility StudyThe Repair Standards Advisory Committee, formed by the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) to assess the appetite for standards in the United States Collision Repair Industry, has concluded the industry research phase of the feasibility study for standards. The Advisory Committee presented an overview of its work at the Collision Industry Conference held at the Las Vegan Hilton on November 2-3 including the next steps necessary to complete the study."The industry support for this feasibility study has been very strong," said Michael Quinn, chair of the Collision Industry Conference and co-chair of the Repair Standards Advisory Committee. "The CIC has had a long history of promoting new ideas and supporting the advancement of the collective collision industry. The work on the feasibility study for establishing repair standards is the latest in a long line of accomplishments for the conference." The committee is working to analyze the research and incorporate the input into a comprehensive report to be delivered to the conference in early 2012. The group has already received commitments for over $41,000 of the $60,000 needed to complete the business case this year. As of October 24, sponsorship commitments totaling approximately $41,750 have been received.
