Business Tools | This article originally appeared in the December 2003 Issue of INSIGHT Tis the Season for Thanks and Resolutionsby Karen Kilbane
The feature story leaves us on the right note for the upcoming New Year. The New Year is a perfect time to not just think about all the good ideas, but to put them into action. What good ideas did you have in 2003? What stopped you from implementing them? How are you going to implement them in 2004? In the words of Henry Ford, "You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do." AAPEX broke attendance records in November. Can NACE2003 do the same? Not this year, but perhaps in 2004, when NACE moves to Las Vegas in November, too. Our publisher, Charlie Baker, will moderate a panel of vehicle manufacturer representatives on Saturday, December 6, one segment of the International Issues and Trends session. This promises to be a great session. SCRS has published an update to its Paint and Materials Capping report. Once again, this information provides clarification of each state’s Insurance Department position on capping. Many thanks to SCRS for this work. The collision repair industry is, once again, helping in the community. CARSTAR hosted a Charity Golf Outing to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In the spirit of Thanksgiv-ing, a truly all-American holiday, let us be thankful that the collision repair industry is active in helping others, but let us also not forget in our daily lives to be thankful for our own health and the health of our loved ones. How easily we forget that the holiday season is about so much more than turkey and presents. We are including our annual Who Pays for What Survey of shop owners with this month’s issue of INSIGHT. We appreciate that you take the time to complete this and return it to us. A happy and prosperous New Year to all! oFeedbackHave a comment about this article?
