Our feature article this month discusses key points of interest to collision repair shop owners, insurers, and parts recyclers that were raised at the recently held “Recycled Parts Roundtable.” The dialogue laid out some practical suggestions for improvement in the sometimes uneasy relationship between recyclers and repairers. Read more on page 3. The Automotive Afterma-rket Industry Association has partnered with Northwood University to provide a really good survey - its Business Confidence Index. The index will result from monthly surveys of aftermarket industry members. See the survey questions and more information on page 8. The leadership team at CARSTAR has sent INSIGHT a special report on the consolidator’s activities during 2010 and goals set for improvement into the rest of 2011. Read more on page 12. Read about Mitchell International’s latest edition of its Industry Trends Report on page 17. The TrendLine in this issue of INSIGHT looks at employee benefits packages in auto body repair facilities. For readers looking for INSIGHT’s usual February feature, “Who Pays for What?” - don’t worry. The feature and charts will appear in the March issue. We really need more responses. Perhaps the boost in business due to bad weather just about everywhere prevented many of you from completing the form. Please complete and return the 2011 Who Pays for What? survey today. If you need a survey form, find INSIGHT’s contact information below. Thank you all for your prompt responses. oFeedbackHave a comment about this article?
