Who Pays?

Our feature article this month is probably INSIGHT’s most popular report - Who Pays For What? It certainly is a favorite of this number loving nerd. Check out the insurer charts to discover answers and comparisons from our latest survey.

Read about the changing of the guard at CARSTAR on page 3. A new CEO has joined the national repair facility consolidator.

The giant nationwide provider of aftermarket and recycled auto parts, LKQ Corporation, has a new credit facility of a whopping one billion dollars. Read more on page 5. It seems that the company is preparing to get even bigger this year.

Online is where a lot of the action is in this 21st century. I-CAR is now offering equivalency tests and other online tools at the trainer’s website. Read more on page 7. C-CAR has been very busy on the Internet, too. Read about its S/P2 e-learning program’s over seven millionth online test on page 8.

Vehicle reseller giant Copart has a very busy Facebook page this year. Read about its “Copart Racing Ultimate VIP Experience” sweepstakes contest on page 6.

The National Auto Body Council (NABC) has announced the appointment of its 2011 Pride chairman, Charles Dillard. It is time to start thinking about nominating some of our brave and generous industry heroes for Pride awards. For details, turn to page 17

Will vacation plans change from turnpikes to backyards this year?
